The liquidator may, with the sanction of the Tribunal, appoint one or more chartered accountants or company secretaries or cost accountants or legal practitioners entitled to appear before the Tribunal under section 10GD to assist him in the performance of his duties.] --------------------------------------- Notes:- [1] Substituted by the Companies (Second Amendment) Act, 2002, w.e.f. a date yet to be notified. Prior to substitution, section 459 read as under for the following: "459. Provision for legal assistance to liquidator. The liquidator may, with the sanction of the Court, appoint an advocate, attorney or pleader entitled to appear before the Court to assist him in the performance of his duties."
