The Companies (Preservation and Disposal of Records) Rules, 1966 The Companies (Preservation and Disposal of Records) Rules, 1966 [1] [Notification No. GSR 98, dated January 5, 1966] [2] In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 642 read with sub-section (1A) of section 163 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: 01. Short title and commencement. (1) These Rules may be called the Companies (Preservation and Disposal of Records) Rules, 1966.
