MINISTRY OF LAW (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 11 th May, 1965/ Vaisakha, 21, 1887 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 11 th May, 1965, and is hereby published for general information:- THE FINANCE ACT, 1965 No. 10 of 1965 [11th May 1965] An Act to give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 1965 66 BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short Title and Commencement (1) This Act may be called the Finance Act, 1965. (2) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, sections 3 to 67 and 69 to 74 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 1965, and section 68 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of March, 1965.
