8. Amendment of Section 58 Section 58 of the Income-tax Act shall be re-numbered as sub-section (1) thereof and after sub-section (1) as so re-numbered, the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely :- (2) The provisions of section 40A shall, so far as may be, apply in computing the income chargeable under the head Income from other sources as they apply in computing the income chargeable under the head Profits and gains of business or profession . .
