Article 1 - Short title and commencement - Constitution (36th Amendment) Act, 1975

THE CONSTITUTION (THIRTY-SIXTH AMENDMENT) ACT, 1975 [16th May, 1975.] An Act further to amend the Constitution of India. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement . (1) This Act may be called the Constitution (Thirty sixth Amendment) Act, 1975. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the date on which the Bill for this Act [introduced in the House of the People as the Constitution (Thirty-eighth Amendment) Bill, 1975], as passed by the House of the People, is passed by the Council of States.
