70. Amendment of section 24. In section 24 of the Wealth-tax Act, with effect from the 1st day of October, 1998,- (a) in sub-section (1), after the word and figures section 23 , the word, figures and letter, section 23A shall be inserted; (b) in sub-section (2), for the words, brackets and figures a Deputy Commissioner (Appeals) or a Commissioner (Appeals) under section 23 , the words, brackets, figures and letter a Commissioner (Appeals) under sub-section (10) of section 23A shall be substituted; (c) In sub-section (2A), the words and brackets the Deputy Commissioner (Appeals) or , at both the places where they occur, shall be omitted; (d) in sub-section (4), for the words two hundred rupees , the words one thousand rupees shall be substituted.
