Section 1 - Short title and commencement - Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 1967

MINISTRY OF LAW (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 16th, December, 1967/Agrahayana 25, 1889 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 15th December, 1967, and is hereby published for general information: THE TAXATION LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1967 No. 27 of 1967 [15th December, 1967.] An Act further to amend the Wealth-tax Act, 1957, the Gift-tax Act, 1958, and the Income-tax Act, 1961, and to amend the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1967. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Eighteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 1967. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of October, 1967, except that section 5 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th day of September, 1967.
