12. Amendment of section 43. In section 43 of the Income-tax Act, in clause (1), (a) in Explanation 1, for the words, brackets and figures sub-section (1) of section 32 , the words, brackets, figures and letter sub-section (1) or sub-section (1A) of section 32 shall be substituted; (b) in Explanation 4, for the words, brackets and figures sub-section (1) of section 32 or sub-section (2) of section 41 , the words, brackets, figures and letters sub-section (1), or clause (ii) of sub-section (1A), of section 32 or sub-section (2) or sub-section (2A) of section 41 shall be substituted.
