Section 1 - Short title and commencement - Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2001

MINISTRY OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 21st March, 2001/Phalguna 30, 1922 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 20th March, 2001, and is hereby published for general information:- THE TAXATION LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2001 No. 4 OF 2001 [20th March, 2001.] An Act further to amend the Finance Act, 2000 and the Income-tax Act, 1961. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2001. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 3rd day of February, 2001.
