AUTHENTICATION OF DOCUMENT – RESULT MUST BE COMPLETE IN ALL RESPECT MERELY GIVING DIN AND DATE IS NOT ENOUGH.WITH DIN RESULT GIVEN ARE TOTALLY VAGUE IS NOT SATISFACTORY BECAUSE ANY SPECIFIC INFORMATION LIKE AUTHORITY, DATE, NATURE OF DOCUMENT, PAN OR NAME OF ASSESSEE , DATE AND ASSESSMENT YEAR IS NOT SHOWN IN THE RESULT.

In this article problems faced in search were discussed. It was also pointed out  with reasoning that filling of mobile number and OTP is not necessary.

Some searches made and results obtained were also discussed.

Present scenario  for search with specific information :

At present similar process is in vogue. There is no improvement.

Search with PAN, document type ,date gives results in form of document DIN number. In such search the person making search knows some details of notice  which are filled in and result gives is the DIN. For example if search is made for various documents issued on the same day  for a given PAN result will only show DIN of various document issued for that PAN. For example for demand notice, assessment order, computation and two penalty notices issued for a particular PAN , particular assessment year and on a particular  day result shows

DIN of five document issued.

From the result, one can compare the DIN as appearing on document received with DIN shown in search result.

The search result can be made all-inclusive and complete,

In search result  serial number  DIN and date are indicated in a tabular manner . There is no information

About authority, assessee, year and nature of document.

Search with DIN – gives vague result:

For clear authentication search with DIN must provide in result  the nature of document, date, authority issuing and assessee concerned to whom notice has been issued.

 However, result is vague. Five search with DIN were carried out in the same case and result in all cases is the same which is as follows;

_/ Yes, Notice/ Order/Letter is issued by Income Tax authority for the details entered.

In this case details entered were only DIN. Five DIN related to different documents. But result shown is routine vague result.

Whether it is for demand notice or assessment order or computation  penalty notice is not mentioned.

Who issue document / authority is not mentioned.

To whom notice was issued and when are also not mentioned.

Therefore the result being vague and not specific as  to authority, PAN / assessee,  assessment year and date of issue, is not a useful and valid result.

The result must show information  specific to document issued.

For example , search and results are given for five documents.
