Subject:- Board s report - Companies (Particulars of Employees) Rules, 1975 ‑ Certain queries regarding terms remuneration and last employment held and other matters connected therewith clarified A question has bean raised whether the term remuneration received occurring in the above rules will include all expenses incurred by the companies in providing any benefit or amenity to the employees, etc., as clarified in this Department s Circular Letter No. 23/76, dated 6‑8‑1976 (printed above), or the perquisites allowed by companies should be valued on the basis of the Income‑tax Act, 1961 and the Rules made there under as stated in Note 2 below item (x) to para 3 in Part II of Schedule VI. The Department has since examined the matter very carefully and it is clarified that the views communicated in this Department s Circular Letter No. 23/76, referred to above, are reiterated and supersede any earlier views of this Department in this regard.
