Repayment of loan etc. taken for the purchase/construction of houses/flats-Deduction admissible under section 80C of the Income-tax Act, 1961-Regarding Circular No. 004 Dated 11/2/1987 I am directed to enclose herewith a copy of A. D. (M. A. Series) Circular No. 4 dated 11th February, 1987 (see [1987] 165 ITR (St.) 320), issued by the Reserve Bank of India to all the authorised dealers in foreign exchange. 2. In this connection, attention is invited to paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 of the Circular. You are requested to kindly direct the officers working in your charge who may be assessing such authorised dealers to check the long-term capital gains computed by them in each case. 3. The contents of the Circular dated 11th February, 1987, may be brought to the notice of all the officers working in your charge.
