Creation of Service Tax Division/Range in Central Excise Commissionerate of Raigad, Jaipur-I, Shillong & Trivandrum – Reg. - Service Tax - F. No. 137/270/2007-CX-4

Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi dated 21-1-2008 Subject : Creation of Service Tax Division/Range in Central Excise Commissionerate of Raigad, Jaipur-I, Shillong Trivandrum Reg. The Board has examined the proposals for creation of a separate Service Tax Division and Range as received from various zones, in their respective jurisdiction as per details in the following table. TABLE S. No. Zone Place where creation of Service Tax Division/Range has been proposed 1. Jaipur Division at Jaipur-I 2. Jaipur Range at Kota 3. Mumbai-II Division at Raigad 4. Shillong Division at Guwahati 5. Cochin Division at Trivandrum 2. After due consideration, the Board has approved these proposals for creation of separate division and range as mentioned in the Table above. As regards jurisdiction of these formations, the concerned Chief Commissioners may specify the same and intimate the Board. 3. To begin with, manpower for these formations will be mobilized by the Chief Commissioner from the available manpower in the Zone. Directorate of Personnel Management will subsequently look into the feasibility of providing additional manpower by re-allocation of staff. 4. All efforts may be made to make these Service Tax Divisions/Range operational at the earliest. [F. No. 137/270/2007-CX-4]
