Documents for address proof submission with registration application - Service Tax - Trade Notice No. 13/2007

Commissioner of Service Tax, Ahmedabad Trade Notice No. 13/2007 dated 14-9-2007 Attention of the Trade is invited to the documents required to be submitted along with the ST-1 application for the purpose of registration of Service Tax assessees. The following documents will be accepted for proof of addresss and for establishing the identity/constitution of the firm/company. 2. For Local/Single Registration :- (1) Copy of PAN card of the assessee. (2) Proof of address of the premises to be registered. A copy of telephone bill, electricity bill, rent agreement in the name of the company or in the name of proprietor/partner/firm (in the case of proprietary or partnership concern), passport in the case of proprietor/partnership concerns, are acceptable as proof of address. (3) In case of partnership firm : Copy of Partnership Deed. (4) In case of companies : Copy of Memorandum of Association. 3. For Centralized Registration :- For centralized registration in addition to the above documents, the proof of address in respect of each of the premises/branches for which centralized registration is sought for, should be furnished. 4. Further, there is no need to resubmit all the above documents for addition/deletion of any service, if already submitted to the Department earlier. However, in case of addition of new premises/branch, proof of address in respect the new premise is to be submitted. 5. All Trade Association/Chamber of Commerce and the members of the Regional Advisory Committee are requested to bring this to the notice of their member/constituents.
