Nomination of Focal Point Branches of bank for e-payment of Service tax & Central Excise duties - Service Tax - Trade Notice No. 14/2007Extract Commissioner of Central Excise, Pune-III Trade Notice No. 14/2007 dated 31-7-2007 The Controller of Accounts, CBEC, New Delhi vide their letter F.No. Coord II/6-5/e-Payment/2006/115 dated 28-6-2007 and F. No. Coord/II/6-5/2006/134 dated 10-7-2007 has decided to nominate the e-FPB (Focal Point Branch) of the following Banks in Delhi for the collection of e-Payment receipts of other Commissionerates that are not authorised for physical collection :- Name of the Bank Name address of Focal Point Branch of the Bank along with its BSR Code No. (1) UCO Bank UCO Bank, IIPA Branch, 4-Block-B Indraprastha Estate, Near ITO, New Delhi 110002 ( Tel - 011 23318620) BSR Code No. 0321882 (2) Allahabad Bank Allahabad Bank, Parliament Street Br, 17, Sansad Marg, New Delhi 110001 Tel 011 23743694 Fax 011 23363694 BSR Code No. 0210163 (3) Central Bank of India Central Bank of India, Janpath Branch, Post Box 244,70, 72- Janpath, New Delhi 110001 Tel 011 23321343 BSR Code No . 0280318 The above mentioned branch of the banks shall act as Focal Point Branch for the collection of e-Payment receipt of other Commissionerates where the bank is not authorised for physical collection. So far as physical collection of Central Excise Service Tax is concerned, existing arrangements shall continue. The Focal Point Branch of the Banks will be responsible for submission of scrolls and challans Commissionerate-wise and Major Head-Wise (Separate for Central Excise and for Service Tax) separately on daily basis to concerned Pay Accounts Officer and settlement of funds with the RBI, CAS, Nagpur through their Link Cell at Nagpur. The Bank should also comply with all the guidelines and instructions issued by RBI from time to time regarding collection and remittance of Funds to RBI, CAS, Nagpur within the prescribed time limit. Any delay in remittance to RBI, CAS, Nagpur beyond the permissible time limit would attract payment of delayed period interest at the rate notified by RBI. All the Trade Associations and Chambers of Commerce and Industries are requested to bring the contents of this Trade Notice to the notice of their member constituents.
