Commissioner of Customs (Port-Imports), Chennai Public Notice No. 2/2013 dated 4-1-2013 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962 , M/s. Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd., (TANGEDCO, NCTPS) having Head Office at 144, Anna Salai, Chennai 600006 is appointed as CUSTODIAN of import of Bulk cargo unloaded at Coal Berth 1 and Coal Berth 2 situated at southern end of Ennore Port, until the goods are cleared for Home Consumption or warehoused or transshipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VII of the Customs Act, 1962 , ibid. M/s. Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd., (TANGEDCO, NCTPS) having Head Office at 144, Anna Salai, Chennai 600006, as the Custodian of bulk cargo imported, would be required to comply with the provisions of Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 and Customs Act, 1962 . This Public Notice shall come into effect from 7-1-2013.
