Commissioner of Customs (Seaport-Import), Chennai Public Notice No. 241/2012 dated 7-11-2012 In pursuance of Notification No. 82/2012-Customs (N.T.), dated 14th September 2012 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue vide File No. 574/09/2012-LC and in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8(a) of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , I, Jane K. Nathaniel, Commissioner of Customs (Seaport-Import), Custom House, Chennai, hereby declare the Minor Port, Kattupalli operated by M/s. L T Shipbuilding Ltd., at Kattupalli Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District 601 120 more fully described below as CUSTOMS AREA for the purpose of unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods or any class of such goods subject to strict observance of the relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 , rules and regulations made thereunder, other instructions issued by the Central Government, the Board and by the Commissioner of Customs (Seaport-Import), Chennai from time to time. Description of Area and Location : In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 8(b) of the Customs Act, 1962 , I hereby further specify the limits of CUSTOMS AREA comprising 868,400 Sq. Mtrs. with Survey Nos. 1 [Sub Div. No. 4A1 part, 4A2, 4Bpart, 5 part], 11 (Part), 12 (Part), 14 [Sub Div. No. 18B part], 15 (Part), 16 [Sub Div. No. 1 part 2 part], 16 [Sub Div. No. 3 part], 330 (part) (Sub Div. No. 1 to 4] including Coastal area 1,31,900 Sq. Mtrs. as certified by the Special Tahsildar (LA), Unit VII, TIDCO, Chennai. Boundaries : On the North : By M/s. Chennai Water Desalination Limited On the South : By Premises of L T Shipbuilding Ltd., comprising of Survey Nos. 16 (Part), 11 (Part), 12 (Part), 1 (Part), 330 (Part) On the East : By Bay of Bengal On the West : By Premises of L T Shipbuilding Ltd., Survey No. 15 (Part) This Public Notice will come into effect from 7-11-2012.
