Public Notice No. 22/2005 Dated 28/01/2005 In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (b) of Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 , the premises specified below is declared as CUSTOMS AREA for the purpose of examination, unloading / destuffing of all FCL containers containing import goods and also for loading / stuffing of export cargo into containers. DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA AND LOCATION The CFS is located in NDR Estates, Kanakkanchatram, G.N.T. Road, Madhavaram, Chennai 110 having total area of 4.17 acres of land ( out of which 11700 Sq. ft. for Import Warehouse and 23,270 Sq.ft. for Export Warehouse, 34970 Sq.ft. for Bonded warehouse and 78860 Sq.ft of Container Yard ) covered by survey nos. 1130,1133,1134,1135/2. situated at G.N.T. Road, Kanakkanchatram, Madhavaram, Chennai 600 110. BOUNDARIES: SOUTH BY : 30 Inner Road of NDR Estates. EAST BY : Open Land Owned by St. Anne s High School. WEST BY : 40 Inner Road Road, NORTH BY : GNT Road. PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED : The Procedures for dealing with Import Cargo (other than LCL and Passengers Unaccompanied Baggage ) and Export cargo are to be followed as laid down in Public Notice Nos. 19/98 and 222/99, issued by this Custom House. This Public Notice is effective from 28 th day of January, 2005
