Backyard of 27 & 28 KPD, Kolkata, notified as Customs Area - Customs - 9/2005

Public Notice No. 9/2005 Dated 26/4/2005 Attention of all Importers, Exporters, Steamer Agent, Clearing agents and other concerned is hereby invited that in exercise of the power vested in me under Section 45 of the Customs Act, 1962, I, A. Bhattacharyya, Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata, do hereby notify the backyard of 27 28 KPD with in area of 24,328 square mtr. (approx.) being the adjoining part of 27 28 KPD shed in Khidderpur Dock II, as described in the Schedule below, as Customs area for the purpose of additional storing facilities for non-duty paid Import Cargo as well as Export Cargo. THE SCHEDULE The subject backyard of 27 28 KPD with an area of 24,328 square mtr. has the following boundary: - On the North : Road beyond which shed No. 26; On the East : Kanta Pukur Shed; On the South : Approach road to gate No. 11; On the West : Road within the dock. In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 45 of the Customs Act, 1962 , I hereby also appoint Kolkata Port Trust as the custodian of the Import and Export goods to be stored in the backyard of 27 28 KPD being the adjoining additional area to the 27 28 KPD Shed in Khidderpur Dock II (KPD II) measuring 24,328 Square mtr. (approx.) Kopt shallensure enduring safety and security of the stored cargo.
