In continuation of the Trade Notice No.001/2016 dated 24.03.2016 issued by this Office intimating the creation of Zonal Unit of the Directorate General of Taxpayer Services [DGTS] at Chennai, it is brought to the notice of the Trade and Industry that the Chennai Zonal Office of the DGTS having jurisdiction over Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Telengana States of South India, will presently function at Central Excise House, 4 th Floor, Main Building, Office of the Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Chennai Central Excise Zone, No.26/1, Mahathma Gandhi Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai -600 034. 2. As a part of initiatives for good governance, all such taxpayers/trade bodies, business chambers or associations, who have any suggestions to make, can meet Shri. S.Raviselvan, IRS, Additional Director General, DGTS, Chennai Zonal Office, in person at the above address between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on every WEDNESDAY, which is already designated as Tax Payers' Day . The suggestions for improvement can also be sent by post and the same will be taken into consideration and acted upon for betterment of services. 3. All taxpayers / Trade Bodies, Chambers and Associations and other stake holders are requested to give wide publicity in the matter so as to enable them to provide suggestions or feedback that can result in improvement in taxpayer services proactively and effectively 4.
