Attention of the Customs Brokers, Exporters and Trade is invited to the introduction of New Scheme Code 81 in Exports to avail both Duty Free Import Authorisation(DFIA) and Brand rate of Drawback for an item in a shipping bill, since certain exporters were facing difficulties in filing EDI shipping bills due to lack of a scheme code for availing Drawback(Brand rate) and DFIA simultaneously for the same item, even though they are eligible to do so. 2. Henceforth, no manual documents should be allowed for the above category of goods since EDI Shipping bills can be filed under the said scheme code. (Dr. M. SUBRAMANYAM) COMMISSIONER
