Keeping in view the time sensitiveness of courier consignments, the department endeavours to clear them at the earliest. However, in respect of some consignments, due to non availability of complete information queries are raised to solicit the additional information to complete the assessment. The query is conveyed to the authorised courier who has filed the Bill of Entry for clearance. The authorised courier responds to the query and the assessment is completed thereafter. In the interest of transparency and greater trade facilitation, it has been decided that the information in respect of queries raised would be made available in public domain, on a real time basis and the queries raised would be uploaded on the Customs website. 3.1 The procedure for accessing information on queries raised is detailed below. 3.2 On the Customs website www.bangalorecustoms.gov.in a new link Courier Assessment has been created wherein a button is provided in the menu, which on clicking will prompt for providing the AWB No. Once the AWB No. is fed by the querrist the details of the query, if any, raised in respect of concerned AWB No. would be displayed. This is available only to verify whether any query is raised against the AWB for a particular courier consignment. 4. The details of the consignments where a query was raised only are, made available. If no information is available for the AWB entered, it indicates that no query is raised by Customs for the consignment. The data available here is only for information and for furnishing the reply to the query, the importer may contact their respective authorised courier. 5.
