No.S/6-Misc-02/2007EXP/FSP Part -II Date: 10/01/2013 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 02/2013 1. Attention of all concerned is invited to the Public Notice No.52/2009 dated 06.08.2009 issued by this office. 2. It has been brought to notice of the undersigned that the provisions of public notice No.52/2009 are not being strictly followed by all members of trade and consequently, there is a congestion of traffic on the approach roads as well as at the gate of the port terminals. 3. It is hereby re-iterated that the procedure for factory stuffed export containers as laid down in Public Notice No.23/2010 dated 26.02.2010 be strictly followed. All Tractor trailers containing factory stuffed export cargo, other than those mentioned in Para 6(c) of Public Notice No.52/2009 are required to move to any of the designated Container Freight Stations / Buffer Yards where the documents are registered and a LEO given. No Tractor Trailers shall move out of such CFS/Buffer Yard unless LEO has been issued. 4. It is to re-iterate that the entire factory stuffed export cargo of the categories mentioned at Para 6 (c) of Public Notice No.52/2009 shall necessarily carry all the documents mentioned in Para 1 of the said public notice. Tractor trailers not carrying requisite documents should not be parked on the approach roads or made to wait in the queue at the gates of the port terminals. 5. A serious view shall be taken for non-compliance of the said instructions and permissions granted shall be withdrawn. 4. All the members of the Trade and the stake holders are requested to co-operate in following the above instructions and in easing out the congestion in the port.
