Attention of all Importers/Exporters/Custom House Agents and others is invited to this office Public Notice no.122/05 dated 22.09.2005 alongwith Annexure A thereto, prescribing the detailed procedure regarding obtaining the iCERT Digital Signature Certificate. 2. It was mentioned therein that the verification will be done by the jurisdictional Central Excise officers. In partial modification thereof, it has been decided that in respect of Bangalore-based importers, exporters, and Custom House Agents, concurrent powers of verification shall vest in the officers of the Customs Hqrs. (Preventive) of the Bangalore Customs Commissionerate under the overall supervision of the Asstt.
