Date: 18.11.2016 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 22/2016-Cus. Sub: Customs-Notification of FSSAl's Authorised Officer under Section 47(5) of FSS Act, 2006- Reg. Attention of the trade is invited to Order dated.29.03.2016 issued in File No. 11371/FSSAl/lmports/2015 by the Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (lmports Division), New Delhi. As per the order, the Superintendents/Appraiser/lnspectors/Examiner of ICD, Marripalem, Krishnapatnam Custom House and Kakinada Custom House are authorized officers in terms of provisions contained in Section 25 read with Section 47(5) of FSS Act, 2006. The officers are authorized for purpose of imported food clearances. A copy of the order is enclosed. 2. Attention of the trade is also invited to Notification No. S.O. 2428 (E) dated 13.7.2016 issued by Ministry of Health Family Welfare (Food safety and standard authority of India) wherein, list of laboratories accredited by the National accreditation Board for purpose of carrying out analysis of food samples taken under section 47 of FSSAI Act, 2006 (copy enclosed) . 3. In pursuance of the Order dated 29th March 2016 of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and Notification No. S.O. 2428 (E) dated 13.7.2016 read with order dated 9/8/2016 (F.No.11/202/LAB REC/QA/FSSAl/2016) of Food safety and Standards Authority of India, the trade and department officers may use nearest laboratories mentioned in the notification for analysis of food samples w.e.f. 01/12/2016. 3.
