Vide Public Notice 19/2018 dated 19.03.2018, it was informed that the uploading of supporting of documents was proposed to be made mandatory from 01.04.2018. In reviewing the data, it is noticed that nearly 6500 Bills of Entries were filed without the minimal three essential supporting documents (viz. Invoice, Packing list, and Bill of Lading) in 45 days. 2. Hence, a-Il the Importers/ Customs Brokers are hereby requested to upload all the supporting documents through E-Sanchit for all the Bills of Entries to avoid delay in clearance. 3. Further, it is informed that no officer shall insist on hardcopy of documents when it is on e-SANCHIT. Hardcopies of additional documents required during assessment should also follow the e-SANCHIT procedure outlined in the Board's Circular 40/2017 - Customs dated 13.10.2017. 4.
