Verification of examination status of all SCANNED MISMATCH containers and “NOT SCANNED” containers before giving container delivery - Customs - 90/2018

Dated. 04/12/2018 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 90/2018 Sub: Verification of examination status of all SCANNED MISMATCH containers and NOT SCANNED containers before giving container delivery Reg. ***** Attention of all Exporters, Customs Brokers, Members of Trade and all person concerned is invited to the above mentioned subject. 2. Chennai Customs has developed a CSD Portal cum App for secure and easy accessibility of SCANNED container images through Mobile App by Docks Officers and subsequent uploading of examination images against SCANNED MISMATCH and NOT SCANNED containers by CFS EOs for effective monitoring examination of SCANNED MISMATCH/ NOT SCANNED containers. 3. In this regard, it is the responsibility of the CFS custodians to verify whether the examination images are uploaded against the SCANNED MISMATCH/ NOT SCANNED containers in CSD app before giving delivery out of the CFS. 4. For the above. said verification by the CFS custodian , a web portal for CFS custodians has been created (www.csdche.nnai.in/container-details) where CFS custodian can enter and search the SCANNED MISMATCH/ NOT SCANNED container number from the EIR copy and verify whether the SCANNED MISMATCH/ NOT SCANNED container pertaining to their CFS has been uploaded with Examination images or not. (Please see Annexure for detailed step by step procedure). 5. The above procedure may be strictly adhered by all CFS Custodians and in the cases where the examination images are found not uploaded by CFS EO, the delivery of container should not be allowed even if the Gate PO verifies the Gate copy of OOC. In those cases, CHA/importer may be advised to approach CFS EO to upload the concerned examination images in CSD,App. 6. This verification has to be carried out by CFS custodian for both PNR and DPD CFS containers before giving delivery.
