SSP Dated: 02.02.2018 TRADE FACILITY NO. 01/2018 Sub: Self Sealing Procedure On line. Submission of intimation each time when self sealing of export containers At the approved premises - Reg. Attention of all Exporters/ Importers/ Steamer Agents/Customs Brokers/Trade and Industry and the Public is invited to the Trade Facilities No. 11/2017 dated 03.10.2017 , 16/2017 dated 01.11.2017 and 19/2017 dated 22.12.2017 issued by this Custom House based on various Circulars from the Central Board of Excise and Customs, wherein the implementation of Electronic sealing of Export containers under .self sealing procedures have been elucidated. As such, Self sealing permission is valid only at the approved premises and is not transferable. The permission is valid for export at all Customs Stations of India. No correction/change/amendment in the self sealing permission will be allowed unless the request for any correction/change/amendment is applied for and approved by the competent authority. The Exporters should intimate the competent authority every year in the month of December whether they intend to continue the self sealing from the same premises. All consignments under self sealed containers shall be subject to risk based criteria and intelligence if any, for examination at the port of Export. This facility will be withdrawn with immediate effect, if any discrepancy or violation of the rules and regulations imposed- under any Notification/ Export Policy/Laws governing this facility, is noticed. Exporters should submit an intimation with respect to the place and address of the approved premises, description of export goods and whether or not any incentive is being claimed etc. to the Jurisdictional Superintendent of Customs at least one day before each self sealing is carried out at the approved premises. To encourage paperless documentation, the I B section of Cochin Custom House has developed a software wherein exporters planning to export self-sealed containers through Cochin port (INCOKI) can submit advance intimations online to the Jurisdictional Superintendent of Customs. This software is an electronic documentation system for storing all intimations related to self sealing. All exporters are requested to visit the website cochincustomsesealing.in and register themselves. Once registered, exporters can submit their advance intimation forms online.
