No. FSP/ 01 / 2017 CUS Date: 16.11.2018 ADDENDUM TO PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 37/2018 Sub:- Observations and concerns regarding Electronic seals used on Export Containers reg. *********** Kind attention of Exporters, Customs Brokers, Members of Trade and all personnel concerned is invited to Public Notice No. 37/2018 dated 30.10.2018 issued by this Custom House banning the use of RFID seals supplied by M/s IB Track Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru, M/s Great Eastern ID tech Pvt. Ltd. Gurgaon, and M/s Perfect RFID Technologies Ltd. Mumbai. Representations from Various Exporters seeking permission to use the RFID seals purchased from the above vendors have been received by this Custom House. Vide the letter F. No. IV(33)/74/2017/RMD Pt-I dated 09,11.2018, the Directorate General of Analytics and Risk Management, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Mumbai, have further reiterated that the RFID e-seals of the above mentioned three vendors are not to be used as these seals are found to have not complied the security requirements. Hence it is informed that the requests received from various Exporters seeking permission to use the RFID e-seals supplied by the above mentioned three vendors cannot be considered and the containers reaching the Export Gate of ICTT, Vallarpadam, sealed by the RFID seals supplied by the above three vendors, will be treated as RMS picked containers and will be redirected to any one of the CFSs for completion of Customs formalities.
