No. S/20-91/PN/CBLR/AG/2017-18 Dated: 15/02/2018 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 08/2018 Subject: - Validity period of G / H category passes issued under Regulation 17 of CBLR, 2013 - reg. Attention of all Importers/ Exporters, Custom Brokers, Members of the Trade and all other concerned is invited to provisions of Regulation 17 of CBLR, 2013 on the above subject. 2. As per present practice, applications are made by the Customs Broker for issuance / renewal of G / H category passes in prescribed proforma along with other prescribed documents. As per prevailing practice the G category passes were being issued / renewed with validity period of one year and the H category passes were being issued / renewed with validity of six months. 3. As a trade facilitation measure, it has been decided that henceforth the H category passes will be issued / renewed which will be valid for 02 years from the date of issue or till the validity of Customs Broker License whichever is earlier and G category passes will be issued / renewed till the validity of Customs Broker License. The issuance of new passes or renewal / extension of existing passes will be done accordingly subject to applicable guidelines in force at the relevant time. 4. The said issuance / renewal of G / H passes will be subject to the provisions of CBLR, 2013 which includes the antecedent verification reports of the employee(s) of Customs Broker from concerned ports, if any. The Customs broker would also ensure that if the employees who have been issued G / H category passes are removed from the employment, the intimation is promptly sent to the CB Section of the Custom House and the G / H passes of such employees are surrendered. 5.
