Kind attention of all Importers, Exporters, Members of Trade and Industry Associations, Airlines, Air Cargo Agents, Console Agents, Custom Brokers, Custodian and other stakeholders is drawn to the Board's Circulars No.33/2016-Customs dated 22.07.2016 as amended under which the procedure for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification has been laid down. The Board has further simplified and rationalized the processing of the AEO-TI application in a trade friendly manner and in easy to file format vide Circular No.26/2018-Customs dated 10/08/2018, issued vide F. No. D-20/DIC/AEO/16/2017. 2. The Board has decided to replace the present Annexure for AEO TI application i.e. Annexure A, C, D, El, E2, E3 E4 with the Annexure-I and Annexure-2 (enclosed herewith) and processing by way of new annexures, Annexure I 2 with immediate effect. Accordingly, all the new applications for AEO Tl are to be mandatorily filed in form of the new annexures- Annexure I 2. 3. To implement the simplified processing and to ensure its desired effectiveness, it is decided by the Board that the process of accreditation of AEO-TI shall be decentralized to the Zonal level. In this decentralized scheme of work, the AEO-TI application will be filed with the Zonal AEO Cell (as already been done by virtue of Circular 3/2018-cus). The said application will be processed by the Zonal AEO Cell and the final acceptance or rejection will be decided by the Zonal AEO Programme Manager. The Zonal AEO cells will only intimate the decision of Zonal AEO Programme Manager to the Directorate of International Customs for generation of certificate [with relevant information of the applicant -Name, IEC Number PAN etc.] and statistics management. The Commissioner of Customs (Import), Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Andheri (E), Mumbai has been nominated as the Zonal AEO Programme Manager for the AEO applications received in Mumbai Customs Zone-III. 4. However, for the application that have already been received by this Customs Zone prior to the of issuance of the Board Circular No.26/2018-Customs dated 10/08/2018, the Zonal AEO Programme Manager will have discretion to allow the processing of the application either by way of earlier annexures (Annexure A, C, D, El, E2, E3 E4) or by way of new annexures (Annexure I 2) on case to case basis. 5. Difficulties, if any, faced in the implementation of this Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the undersigned. 6.
