Budget 2018-19 - Filing of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills in ICES - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 07/2018Extract GOVT. No.: S.Misc.01/2017-18-EDI-ACC Dated: 30.01.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 07/2018 Sub: Budget 2018-19 - Filing of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills in ICES - reg. *********** It is brought to the notice of all the importers, exporters, customs brokers and all trade formations that exercise for updation of ICES directories is scheduled to start on 01-02-2018 after presentation of the Budget 2018-19 in Parliament. Updation of ICES Directories would begin on 1st February 2018 and continue till updation of all Budget Notifications and changes in directories. Filing of Bills of Entry and Section 48 approvals will be stopped in ICES at 1700 hrs on 1st February 2018. However, system will be available for other functions in ICES. Suitable TICKERS will be made available on CITRIX as well as on CBEC, ICEGATE websites regarding the timing for starting of the Regular filing of Bills of Entry and section 48 approvals. During the Budget Activity, filing and processing of Shipping Bills will continue as usual without any stoppage. If any changes are announced in the Export Duty and Export Cess during the Budget, the sites will keep a track of the relevant SBS filed on or after 1st Feb 2018 till the directory changes are made online, and export duty/cess will be collected manually thereon. Processing of Bills of Entry filed before 1700 hrs on 1st February 2018 will also continue as usual. Trade is advised to verify Prior Bills of Entry filed before 1st February for any change of duty liability before approaching for OOC. Further, the data entry activities at all the Service Centres will be stopped at 1700 hrs on 01-02-2018 and will resume only after the budget updation activities are completed in the system. The restriction will apply only for document digitisation and not for printing. In view of the above, importers, exporters, customs brokers and all trade formations are advised to plan their shipments accordingly. (K. RAGHU N.
