Option to apply for Goods Registration online on ICEGATE M/ - Customs - TRADE NOTICE: 01/2019/CCP/JMR

No. VIII/48-20/Sys/Single Window/ 15-16 DATED 02.01.2019 TRADE NOTICE: 01/2019/CCP/JMR Sub: Option to apply for Goods Registration online on ICEGATE M/ reg. 1. Attention of all the Importers, Customs Brokers and the Members of the Trade are invited to the below mentioned advisory. 2. To facilitate trade, the importer/CHAs have now been given the option to register the goods online through their login on the ICEGATE website without needing to physically apply before the goods registration officers. The CHA/ importer can apply for the goods registration in respect of all the eligible BES after the payment of applicable duties and arrival of goods at the Customs Station. ICEGATE website would also display the specific error to the importer/ CHA if it is attempted for BES which are ineligible or not ready for goods registration. 3. Additionally, a new report has been made available in STA role to list out the BES where goods have been successfully registered online for further necessary action by the Customs Officer. 4.
