Date: 15.02.2017 (ADDENDUM TO PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 15/2014 DATED 19.08.2014) PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 06 /2017 Sub: - Facility of 'Direct Port Delivery' to Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) - reg. Attention of all the Importers, Exporters Customs Brokers, and the member of the Trade is invited to the Public Notice 15/2014 dated 19.08.2014 issued by this office on the above mentioned subject. 2. Kind reference is invited to Boards Circular No. 33/2016- Customs dated 22.07.2016 wherein the Board has decided to merge the two facilitation schemes namely ACP and AEO into a combined three-tier AEO programme and also enhance the scope of these programmes so as to provide further benefit including Direct Port Delivery to the entities. 3. As measure of trade facilitation and 'Ease of Doing Business', the Direct Port Delivery' facility has been granted to all the 'Authorised Economic Operator (Tier-1 Tier-2 Tier-3) 4. All the importers who are AEO Certificate holder and who wish to avail of the DPD facility are required to apply to the Principal Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad. 5. Facility of Direct Port Delivery (DPD) of their import Containers and/ or Direct Port Entry (DPE) of their Export Containers Would be available to them within 7 working days. However, this facility will be dependent on the volume of their Import/ Export trade in terms of number of containers as verified by relevant port. 6. This revised procedure for expeditious permission for DPD is extended for all AEO Certificate holders and the procedure for permission of DPD facility for 100% EOUs will be followed under Public Notice No. 15/2014, dated 19.08.2014 issued by this office. 7. Difficulties, if any; faced in implementation of these instructions may be brought to the notice of the Department. (Ajay Jain) (Principal Commissioner)
