All the Importers, Exporters and the Trade are hereby informed Central Board of Excise Customs vide Circular No 56/2016 -Cus dated 24.11.2016 has issued guideline pertaining to abolition of Mate's Receipt, 2. Board has observed that In view of the chanced business workflow need for issuance of Mate's receipt is no more there. Therefore, Board has decided that in the case of containerized cargo issuance of Mate s respect should not be insisted. However, in respect of non-containerized export cargo like bulk cargo etc, the practice of issuing Mate's receipt would continue. 3.
