ICES Production Database Migration - Non availability of System for processing - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE No. 248/2017

Misc.22/2017- Sys Unit Dated: 07.12.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 248/2017 Sub: ICES Production Database Migration - Non availability of System for processing - Reg. It is informed to Importers/ Exporters/ Customs Brokers/ Steamer Agents/ Consol Agents / Shipping lines and other stakeholders and the trade that the IT infrastructure on which the Customs Applications are running would be going out of support shortly. This necessitates the migration of the database to newer platform. This activity has been planned from 0000 hours on 09.12.2017 to 2200 hours on 09.12.2017. During this period, the Customs Application would not be available to the trade users, participating government agencies and CBEC Officials. In view of the above, the following Advisory is being hereby issued for the benefit of all concerned: 1. Though the activity would start at 0000 hours on 09.12.2017, the filing of declarations (Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, Import General Manifest and Export General Manifest) would be halted at 1700 hours on 08.12.2017, in preparation for the said activity. However, the system will be available for processing for clearance upto 2200 Hours on 08.12.2017. Hence, all the locations are advised to clear the consignments by 2200 hours on 08.12.2017. 2. The Customs Application is expected to be made available to the users from 2200 hours on 09.12.2017. In case of any extension in timelines beyond that specified above, for any unforeseen reasons whatsoever, suitable and necessary instructions/ advisory would be communicated. 3.
