PUBLIC NOTICE No. 13/2017 Sub: Centralised processing of Container Movement Facilitation Cell (CMFC)-merger Of CMFC Kattupalli Port with CMFC Chennai Port -regarding Considering the request received from trade and keeping in view the distant location of the Kattupalii Port from the Chennai City, it is decided, as a trade facilitation measure, to centralise the Container Movement Facilitation Cell of the Chennai Port and Kattupalli Port. Thus the role of Superintendent CMFC Kattupalli Port is merged with the roles of Superintendent CMFC Chennai Port, functions at Dr. Ambedkar Building, Chennai Port with immediate effect. The following procedure is prescribed in this regard. 2. Henceforth all the requests for the movement of containers from Chennai Port Kattupalli Port to various CFS will be processed at CMFC Section situated inside the Chennai Port Trust. 3. All the Steamer Agents, CFS Operators Customs Brokers and Consol Agents are advised to approach Superintendent CMFC at Chennai Port for the CMFC work related to Kattupalli Port. 4. All the CFS operators, Customs Brokers and Consol Agents are advised to approach EDI Service Centre, Custom House, Chennai for obtaining Job number and any amendment relating to Chennai Port and Kattupalli Port. 5. It is informed that CMFC Section functioning at Chennai Port will be working on Second Saturday and all Holidays with Skelton staff on payment of MOT basis. Hence, all the CFS operators, Customs Brokers and Consol Agents are requested to avail the facility by applying MOT in advance. This Public Notice comes into immediate effect.
