PUBLIC NOTICE No. 05/2017 (Amendment to Public Notice No. 1/2014 dated 10.10.2014 Sub.: Jurisdiction of Re-organized Field Formations in Chennai Customs Zone - reg. Attention of the Importers/Exporters, Customs Brokers, Custodians, trade and other stake holders is invited to the Public Notice No. 1/2014 dated 10.10.2014 issued by this office wherein the reorganization of Commissonerates were created in the Chennai Customs Zone with effect from 15.10.2014 based on the Notification no. 77/2014-Cus. (NT) dated 16.9.2014 issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance vide F. No. 437/48/2014-cus.IV. In the 'Annexure - A' to the above-said Public Notice, an amendment is hereby ordered at Sl.No. 7 with respect to the jurisdiction of Chennai V II, Air Cargo Commissionerate. S.No. Commissionerate Jurisdiction 7 Chennai VII Air Cargo Commissionerate The Public Notice will come into effect from To handle work related to both import and export of cargo through Chennai Airport and the Bonded Warehouses attached thereto and Chennai Special Economic Zone, excluding the jurisdiction of Chennai I (Airport) Commissionerate as mentioned at S.No. l. The Commissionerate will also handle the public/private Bonded Warehouses attached to Chennai Airport and located within the geographical jurisdiction of the Chennai Customs Zone.
