PUBLIC NOTICE NO.57/2017 STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP) FOR ISSUE OF FRESH CUSTOMS BROKER LICENCE CBEC - SERVICE QUALITY MANUAL (SQM) Sub: Improvement in the standards of services and the effectiveness of the service quality management system in terms of Regulation 9(2) Of CBLR, 2013. I. In consonance with the Service Quality Policy of CBF.C with the committed objectives set out in the SQM to continually improve the standards of services and the effectiveness of the service quality management system With the objective of enhancing consumer satisfaction, the list of documents as detailed below are to be submitted to the Licensing Authority for renewal Of Customs Broker Licence (90 days prior to the date of expiry) in terms of Regulation 9(2) Of CBLR, 2013. 2. The following documents are to be submitted to the Sevottam Section, situated at Ground Floor, Custom House, No.60, Rajaji Salai, Chennai-600 001 : (a) Declaration affirming that there is no change in constitution / address of Customs Broker; that there are no time expired /inoperative cards in Forms G/H pending submission to the Department; that accounts are being maintained as per Regulation 16 of CBLR 2013; that no judicial / quasi-judicial cases are pending against them (if yes, the details and status of each pending case); and that no arrears are payable to the Department - Regulation 5 of CBLR, 2013 (b) Form A, application for renewal of Licence, as per Regulation 4 of CBLR, 2013 (c) Self attested copy of CHA Licence in Form B issued under Regulation 7 of CBLR, 2013 (d) Copy of agreement of lease / rent / sale deed, duly attested (notarised (if there is any change in the address of the Customs Broker's business premises - Regulation 1 1 (o) of CBLR, 2013 (e) List of Identity Card holders with photo identity (f) Bond in Form D as per CBLR, 2013 -Regulation 8 of CBLR, 2013 (g) TR-6 Challan for payment of fee of ₹ 5000/- tar renewal of Licence Regulation 9(3) of CBLR, 2013 (h) Security Deposit for a sum Of - Regulation g of CBLR, 2013 - (The amount of Security Deposit will be the same as submitted at the time of obtaining fresh licence and will be subject to change only when there is a change in partnership/change in the name Of the company/change in the constitution of the concern, firm or a company) Period Security Deposit Amount (Rs.) A deficiency letter would be sent to the Customs Broker if any document is found insufficient, within fifteen days from the date of submission of documents in the Sevottam Section 4.
