TRADE FACILITY NO. 01/2017 Subject: Board Circular No.14/2017-Cus. dated 11.04.2017 on delayed, incomplete or incorrect filing of Import Manifest or Import Report reg. Kind attention of exporters, importers, Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents and all other stakeholders is drawn to the Central Board of Excise Customs (CBEC) Circular No.14/2017-Customs, dated 11 April 2017, wherein the Board has prescribed that: (a) All the applications for amendments to be made in IGMs shall be disposed within the specified time limits. Minor amendments shall be approved on the same day of the submission of the complete application with all the required documents. For EDI sites, the electronic amendment request shall be made prior to approaching the proper officer. The Board has vide its Notification No.35/2017-Cus. (N.T.) dated 11.04.2017 amended the Notification No.40/2012-Cus. (N.T.) dated 02.05.2012 and has notified that the Superintendent of Central Excise or Customs or Appraiser as the proper officer for Section 30 (minor amendments) of the Customs Act, 1962. (b) All cases of Minor amendments are to be decided administratively without recourse to adjudication or levy of penalty. The Board has amended the Levy of Fee (Customs Documents) Regulations, 1970 vide its Notification No.36/2017-Customs (N.T.) dated 11.04.2017 to revise the fees for carrying out the amendments. The prescribed fee for the amendment of IGMs has been revised to a flat fee of ₹ 1000/-. 2. Consequent to the above mentioned changes notified by the Board, all the stakeholders are required to take cognisance and comply with the same. All the concerned formations / sections are hereby directed to maintain registers for recording the payment of the revised fees notified by the Board and to duly record the same without fail. 3.
