No. C1/05/2017-TU. Cus. Dated: 16.06.2017. TRADE FACILITY NO. 03/2017 Subject: Health Certificate for the importation of Dried Curry Leaves into the European Union from India -reg. Kind attention of exporters, importers, Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents and all other stakeholders is drawn to the Spices Board Circular No.MKT/RA/002/2016-Part 1 dated 06.06.2017 on the above mentioned subject (copy enclosed). 2. Vide, ibid circular, the Spices Board has informed that it has introduced mandatory testing on pesticide residue for three parameters i.e, Profenofos, Triazophos and Endosulfan in dried curry leaves for export to the European Union (EU) with effect from 18.01.2013. The Board has received Notifications from the EU on Rapid System for Food and Feed (RASFF) due to the absence of Health Certificate for curry leaves. 3. In light of the above, the Spices Board has now informed that the export of dried curry leaves to the E. U shall be accompanied with the analytical report issued by the Board and a Health Certificate in the format prescribed in Annexure-Il of the EU regulation 885/2014 on the strength of Board's analytical report, with immediate effect, 4.
