In exercise of the powers conferred under Clause (b) of Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962, the premises of CONTAINER FREIGHT STATION set up by M/S. ALS Tuticorin Terminal (P) Ltd., Tuticorin at Survey Nos: 998, Meelavittan Village, behind Fisheries College, Harbour Express High Road, Tuticorin - 628 008 with the approval of Ministry of Commerce vide their order F. No. 16/16/2016-infra-l dated 13.02.2017 in the name and style as M/S. ALS Tuticorin Terminal (P) Ltd., CFS and its boundaries specified below has been declared as CUSTOMS AREA by Commissioner of Customs, Tuticorin vide Notification No. 01/2017 dated 16.05.2017 for the purpose of de-stuffing of Full Container Load (FCL) import laden containers, storage and customs examination of import cargo as well as for the purpose of storage, customs examination of cargo meant for export and stuffing the export cargo into containers under Customs supervision and sealing of the same by Customs with Customs OTL seal. DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA AND LOCATION OF PREMISES OF M/S. ALS TUTICORIN TERMINAL (P) Ltd., TUTICORIN CFS 02. Premises having an area of 10.62 Acres of land owned by M/S. ALS Tuticorin Terminal (P) Ltd., Tuticorin situated at Survey Nos: 998, Meelavittan Village, behind Fisheries College, Harbour Express High Road, Tuticorin - 628 008, with boundaries on four sides as noted below. Northern Side : Survey Nos. 990, 991, 992, 993 994, 995 Eastern Side : Survey No. 1055 (Road) Western Side : Survey No 997 1006, 1007, 1015 Southern Side : Survey Nos. 1017 1023, 1024, 1025, 1026 03. In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 45[1] of the Customs Act, 1962 M/S. ALS Tuticorin Terminal (P) Ltd, Tuticorin situated at Survey Nos: 998, Meelavittan Village, behind Fisheries College, Harbour Express High Road, Tuticorin - 628 008, is approved as Custodian of all imported goods unloaded in the said customs area. 04. In exercise of powers conferred under Regulation 10 of Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009 as amended M/S. ALS Tuticorin Terminal (P) Ltd, Tuticorin situated at Survey Nos: 998, Meelavittan Village, behind Fisheries College, Harbour Express High Road, Tuticorin - 628 008, is approved as Customs Cargo Service provider for receipt, storage, delivery, dispatch or otherwise handling of imported goods and export goods in the said Customs Area. 05. PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED The procedures for dealing with import FCL cargo and export cargo as laid down in Public Notice No. 26/2004 dt.13.05.2004 issued by this Custom House and CBEC Circular No.79/2001 dt. 07.12.2001 and Circular No. 13/2009- Cus dated 23.03.2009 modified from time to time shall be followed. The procedures outlined in CBEC Circular No. 55/2000 dt. 30.06.2000 and Circular No. 22/2001 dated 17.04.2001 for consolidation of cargo at CFS should be adhered to. Movement of Import laden containers has to be done in accordance with facility intimation No. 13/2006 dt. 23.08.2006, of Tuticorin Customs Commissionerate as amended from time to time. 06.
