Implementing Electronic Sealing of containers by Exporters - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE No. 46/2017

Date: 15.12.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 46/2017 Sub: Implementing Electronic Sealing of containers by Exporters-Reg. Attention of the Exporters/Custom Brokers/ Vendors/ Shipping Agents and all concerned is invited to the Board Circular No. 44/2017-Cus. dated 18.11.2017 and this Office Public Notice No. 43/2017 dated 22.11.2017 and 44/2017 dated 30.11.2017 on the above subject. 2.1. In terms of Board Circular/Public Notices referred above, e-sealing of containers is mandatory for the following category of exporters who would like to export through Custom House, Tuticorin(INTUT1) from 15th of December ,2017. i. All AEOs ii. All exporters who have been availing the facility of erstwhile self sealing. iii. All exporters who have been availing the facility of supervised sealing by Central Excise Officers/Customs Officers iv. All exporters who obtained fresh permission for self sealing from Jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs 2.2. For the purpose of export through Custom House, Tuticorin (INTUT 1), the entitled exporters are free to contact the following vendors for the purpose of obtaining e-seals, as they have provided readers in respect of Custom House, Tuticorin (INTUT1): 1. M/S 1b Track Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengalure 2. M/S Optimus Telematics Pvt. Ltd., Noida 3. M/S Infotek Software Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune 4. M/S Sepio Products Pvt. Ltd., Vasai 3. For all those exporters mentioned in Para 2.1 above, who would like to export through St. John ICD, Tuticorin (INTUT 6), e-sealing of containers is mandatory from 1st January,2018 onwards. They are free to contact the following vendor for the purpose of obtaining e-seals: 1. M/S Infotek Software Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune 4. It is further clarified that all the e-sealed containers shall be taken to any CFS of exporter's choice or ICD and the regular export procedures viz. Registration of Shipping Bills/examination/ LEO shall be undertaken as per norms/RMS instructions. Unless otherwise selected by system, the e-sealed containers shall not be opened for examination. Only seal verification shall be undertaken by the Customs Officers at CFS and the proper reading of e-seals is done at Green gate by the preventive officers, who allow the containers for export, if found in order. 5.
