Attention of all Importers, Customs Brokers, Members of the Trade Industry Associations, Customs Officers and others is invited towards the practice followed at EDI Service Centre with regard to the Customs pre-approval for submission of query reply by the Importer and the timing for registration of Bills of Entry by Customs staff 2 Representation was received from Members of the Trade that for submission of query reply, pre-approval from Group officer may not be insisted by the EDI Service Centre and that the evening time-limit for registration of Bs/E by Custom Staff be extended till 06.30 PM 3 Considering the above requests and as a trade facilitation measure, it has been decided that a) The EDI Service Centre shall henceforth accept reply of queries from Importer without Insisting on pre-approval by Group Officer; b) The time limit for registration of Bills of Entry by Custom staff at Air Cargo Complex has been extended up to 06 30 PM 4 Difficulties, If any, faced in the implementation of this Facility Notice may be brought to the notice of the undersigned This issues with the approval of the Principal Commissioner of Customs (Import), ACC, Mumbai.
