Misc. 272/2017 - DBK (AIR) Date: 15.05.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 05/2017 SUB: Monitoring of realization of export proceeds for the Drawback EDI Shipping Bills Submission of BRCs/Negative Statements in time - Reg. Attention is invited to Public Notice 29/2016 dated 01.12.2016 of this office on the above mentioned subject whereby exporters were given the opportunity to submit 3RC/Negative Statements issued by Authorised Dealer(s) and Chartered Accountants functioning as statutory Auditor of exporter's account on a six monthly basis. In this regard it is noticed that despite the issuance of the said pubic notice still large number of exporters have not submitted 3RC/Negative Statement(s) to this office till date as proof of realization of export proceeds. The List of such Shipping Bills with LEO date from 01.01.2004 to 31.03.2014 for which BRC/Negative statements have not been submitted till date is being published in this Office website www.aircustomschennai.gov.in. Those who have not submitted the BRC/Negative Statement for the above mentioned period are hereby given a final opportunity to submit the same on or before 30.06.2017. Failing which alerts will be placed in the ICES 1.5 system against the defaulters on 01.07.2017 and further action will be initiated as per the provisions of Section 7S(I) of the Customs Act, 1962, read with Rule ISA of the Customs, Central Excise Duties and Service Tax Drawback Rules, 1995. All Exporters/Customs Brokers are therefore urged upon to submit the pending BRC/Negative statements in respect of the Shipping Bills published in the website at the earliest. However, in respect of such cases where the letters sent to the defaulting exporters by SIIB have been returned undelivered, alerts are being placed immediately. (K. RAGHU N.
