Attention of all the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents, Custodians/Customs Cargo Service Providers, Trade Associations/Chamber of Commerce, Members of the RAC/PGC and the Public is invited to the Trade Notice No.02/2017, dated 25/10/2017 issued by the Chief Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Zone, Visakhapatnam specifying the jurisdiction of Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Vijayawada and transfer of Customs functions hitherto handled by Central Excise formations to the jurisdictional Customs formations and also the following Public Notices issued h this office. The Customs Preventive Unit, Ongole will be under the administrative control of Preventive Unit at the Office of the Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Vijayawada. The Customs work includes work includes the following items of work' I) One time permission for self sealing of export containers II) All the customs functions which were presently being handled by the central Tax formations which includes i) Duty free imports by EOUs/EHTP/STP units, issuance of re-warehousing certificate, bond to bond transfer, collection of duty of customs in case of disposal of CG/goods as such by the unit, Execution of B-17 bond, demand of duty of Customs in case of default in NFE, non accountal of goods collection of cost recovery charges, MOT etc ii) Duty free imports / imports at concessional rate of duty subject to end use condition under customs (Import of goods at concessional rate of duty for manufacture of excisable goods) Rules, 2016, execution of bond, monitoring of utilization and demand of customs duty in case of default iii) Installation certificate for goods imported under EPCG scheme iv) Adjudication of offences and demand of customs duty in respect of SEZs etc. 7. The Customs work which is presently being handled by the Central Tax formations shall be executed by the jurisdictional officers of the Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Vijayawada with effect from 01.01.2018 i.e., from the date of effect of Notification NO.82/2017-Customs (NT), dated 24.08.2017, as amended. 8. All the members of the Regional Advisory Committee, Trade and Industry Associations and Chamber of Commerce are requested to circulate the Public Notice among their constituent members for information and guidance. 9.
