No. IV/08/01/MP/2013 Date: 26.02.2013 TRADE NOTICE NO. 03/2013-CE Sub: Payment of Central Excise duty/ Service tax for the month of March, 2013 As per rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 2002 and as per rule 6 of Service Tax Rules, 2002, the payment of Central Excise duty/ Service tax for the month of March is to be made on or before 31.03.2013. However, it is noticed that 27.03.2013, 29.03.2013 and 31.03.2013 are public holidays. In view thereof, all the assesses of Central Excise and Service Tax are hereby advised to take notice of the above and deposit the due tax/ duty within prescribed time limit. Failure to pay the government dues in time will attract interest and penalty.
