No. 381/49/2019 dtd. 25.06.2019 for commencement of audit* of GST taxpayers, it is hereby brought to the notice of the Trade Industry and all others concerned that in terms of Sub-Section (1) of Section 65 of the Act ibid, all officers of the rank of Inspector of Central Tax and above as long as they remain posted in or hold charge of any Audit Group or Circle of Kolkata Audit-I CGST CX Commissionerate, Kolkata, have been authorised for the purpose of conducting audit* of the registered person as and when so allocated by this office.
