No. VIII(H)48/CT/62/09/Pt-I Dated: 24.08.2019 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 24/2019 Sub: - Information regarding withdrawal of Customs Staff from ICD, Thar Dry Port, Jodhpur w.e.f. 01.09.2019-Reg. M/S The Thar Dry Port, Jodhpur (A unit of Hasti Petro Chemical Shipping Limited) appointed as Custodian of ICD, Thar Dry Port, Jodhpur under Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962 was requested time and again to deposit Cost Recovery Charges of Customs Staff posted at ICD, Thar Dry Port, Jodhpur in advance in terms of HCCAR, 2009 and various Circular issued by the Board from time to time. However, it has come to notice that the custodian has not paid Cost Recovery Charges in advance on quarterly basis in respect of officers of Customs posted at ICD, Thar Dry Port, Jodhpur. Therefore, this office would not be able to continue the Customs Staff posted there for Customs Clearance Work. Accordingly, to avoid any inconvenience to the trade in r/o Customs Clearance Work through the ICD, it has been decided that the Customs Staff posted at ICD Thar Dry Port, Jodhpur will be withdrawn w.e.f. 01.09.2019. The Trade is advised to complete the clearance of Import/Export consignments already in pipeline expeditiously and in any case before 01.09.2019 and make alternative arrangements for future import/ export.
