Pt I Dated: 04.03.2020 TRADE NOTICE NO. 07/2020 Subject: Implementation of automated clearance on All-India basis- reg. Attention of all importers, exporters, customs brokers, members of the trade and industry and all other stakeholders is drawn to Circular No. 15/2020, dated 28.02.2020, issued by Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs on implementation of Automated Clearance of All-India basis (copy of the which is enclosed). 2. As part of the measures under the Turant Customs initiative, the next major change being implemented is the Pre-payment Customs Compliance Verification (CCV), envisaged in the above Circular, wherein the Shed Superintendent will be able to complete the CC V for a Bill of Entry even pending payment of duties. 3. As detailed in Para 4 of the said Circular, the said procedure will be effective from 05.03.2020. The designated proper officer of Customs would do all the necessary checks regarding the Customs Compliance Verification (CCV) requirements under the Customs Act, rules, instructions etc. and will confirm the completion of CCV in the System. The other conditions, except the condition of duty payment would still be as mandated by System. Once the duty payment is made by the importer and is confirmed by the System, the Bill of Entry would be electronically cleared by the System. 4. After the clearance for a Bill of Entry is given electronically, all the Shed Officers/ Gate Officers at Docks/CFSs/Ports are required to verify the duty payment and also surrendering of documents/ Dockets before granting physical clearance of the goods.
